It is a solid lifter engine, horsepower is second only to the fuelie in ‘64. Yes it does have brake shoes, in my opinion they work just great with little fade noticed. Also frame is original and solid with surface rust in places but no structural problems. The car is numbers matching, the transmission Tag is 3839601, and assembly date P1203, Muncie December 3rd, 1963. When I purchased the car in April 2014 the odometer showed 77,865 miles. The car comes with a hardtop stand and factory manuals. Spare parts including a fuel pump, tachometer and speedometer cables, a hardtop carrier, seat foam, and a tune-up kit with points, a condenser, and a distributor cap are included in the sale. Within 72 hours of bid closing, Buyer must send balance of funds by certified funds to Seller. Do not hit the buy now button if you're not ready to pay for it. For balance of payment I will accept bank wire transfer (preferred), cashier's check, or personal check (vehicle shipment will be delayed until check clears). The renovation was performed by my friend in his workshop over several years as he worked on his other cars (Ferrari’s) I only made copies of some of the invoices, if you have questions of repairs made since I acquired the car in 2014 I’ll supply the detail if you want it. |
