| You're looking at a beautiful 1968 Ford Galaxie 500 XL convertible. The odometer is showing 27k+ miles. It is believed to have just over 127k original miles. It comes with Ford's famous 390 cu (6.4l) engine, which is extremely reliable (and sounds great at the same time!).Period correct Lime Gold exterior and interior color, which was very popular in the 1960's. The car had one repaint. The car spent it's entire life in California and is 99% rust free. It has an extremely clean, rust-free underbody. A lot of money has been spent on the car to make it a reliable, fun cruiser. Among others, the car has new drum brakes, new spark plugs, new white wall tires (including the spare), new shocks and struts, new distributor, new battery, new power steering and water pumps, some new belts, carburetor service, fluids, and much more. All the wear and tear items have been taken care of.The a/c blows ice cold. Everything in the car is working as it should. The car comes with the original and an 80's aftermarket radio with cassette tape. The electronic convertible top and hideaway headlights work as they should.Con: the front 'XL' hood ornament is missing. The tabs on the bezel are broken and the ornament itself needs to be replaced. Turns heads everywhere I go. You're looking at a very rare car - only 6,000 of these were ever built (but parts are easy to find online).The interior and leather seats have been reupholstered. Absolutely stunning interior! The paint is still in good condition, but not perfect. It has some imperfections/flaws that can be seen up close. Please inquire - I can provide some closeups.
