| 1957 Corvette 283 engine, 4 speed, Wonderbar Radio. Same owner for the last 39 years. The car starts, runs and drives great. All gauges work including the tach. The 57 Corvette is a rare car with only 6339 being built. This example has the true look that only a 57 has with single headlights, correct grill, bumpers and fender scoops. Although the car has a red interior that is very nice, I am including most of a newer correct interior with the car. (1) Deluxe Door Panel Set.- Al Knock (2.) Seat cover set from Al Knock (3) visor set. The Car has very nice body lines. The Deck lid Stainless trim, sill plates, grill stainless are all present and in good shape. Bumpers & tail lights are in fair to nice shape. Paint is older lacquer and is showing its age with some cracking. The car has been in storage for the past 8 years. When it was removed from storage we did the following Repairs: Top end of engine was rebuilt including new cam, lifters, timing chain and gear set. Both heads were gone through and all the valves & seats were reground. Guides and studs were checked and replaced as needed & both heads were magnifluxed. Pistons and rings look great with little or no wear and no ring grove. All new gaskets and seals were installed. On start up the engine has great power. We also installed a remanufactured carb and flushed the fuel system. The 4 speed transmission shifts nice with no noise and is attached to a 3:70 rear end. The steering is tight and the vehicle drives nice with no squeaks or rattles. The soft top and frame are in good shape but the vinyl covering will need to be replaced.Extras included with the Car:I am including a period correct #548 1957 283 cu.in. Engine Block with this Vette. The block is in good shape with little or no ring grove & no cracks or damage.
