CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER | |

Up for sale is this 1977 Corvette L48 car. I got this car as part of another deal I had going on, from the grandson of the second owner. He inherited it. Been in that family about 18 years. Car has one repaint on it from probably 20 years ago. Paint condition is probably 5-6 out of 10, depending on perspective. It has a few chips and a couple places where stress cracks show when you wax it. See the pics for an example. Don't get me wrong, the car looks really good and presentable, but it is not a show car. It has the original engine and transmission, both which operate very well. The engine is quiet, does not smoke and runs strong. Transmission shifts are positive and firm with no problems noted. I personally liked the car because it had not really been modified or butchered up. It is pretty much all stock and original except the paint. I installed new T-Top weatherstrips, as one was missing when it came to me. Car has been stored inside for 18 years. I also ran the buffer over it to clean it up. Under the hood, I replaced the water pump and replaced the distributor cap, rotor and wires. The prior owner had replaced the calipers, but had not bled the lines correctly, so we bled the brakes and they work well. The brake light remains on, on the dash. I have not had a chance to see why yet and the tachometer needle is inaccurate. If you look at the pictures, you will see "stuff" in the passenger side floor. The prior owner had purchased a new master cylinder and brake booster, thinking that would fix his brake issue, but as I said, they were just improperly bled. These parts go with the car, in case you want to install them yourself to clean up under the hood. There is also a brand new center radio bezel for the car. All the owner's manuals are also on the pass seat. The car has new tires on it with less than 200 miles on them. Exhaust is also newer. A/C does not work. From what I see, it needs a new low pressure hose assembly. Wipers work, headlights pop up correctly, cruise is disconnected. Power windows work. The undercarriage and bottom of the car is all in excellent condition. The car runs, drives and stops very well. I have driven it locally with no issues, but I have no clue how it would respond to a long road trip. I suspect it has not had many miles put on it over the past 5-6 years. Just decent 77 Corvette.
