Over the shining silver they added Z28-style stripes in gloss black. With the paint finished, he turned his attention inside, and had the interior completely redone with new houndstooth material and then added a McIntosh CD stereo system was wireless remote that included a 300 watt amp, custom wiring and kick panel with a 12? sub in the trunk. This for your high end listening enjoyment if you choose music over the beautiful sound of that V8 engine, either way you can’t go wrong. This car is currently being auctioned at Garage Dream Auctions siteAlthough the existing 327 ran well it did not fit the build and needed more power. B&N Custom Rods in Canyon Country, California, was given the task to assemble a very capable 388 ci small-block that included a balanced and blue-printed engine with JE 10.7:1 forged pistons, a COMP Cams hydraulic-roller camshaft with 0.520/0.540-inch lift, Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads, and an 800-cfm Edelbrock Thunder Series AVS carburetor. This combination produces over 500 horse power which is mated to a modified 700-R4 overdrive automatic from Bow Tie Overdrives coupled to a TCI 10-inch Street Fighter converter. And to put all this power to the ground, the stock 10-bolt rear axle assembly is fitted with an Eaton posi unit , 3.73 gears and reinforced forged steel splines. To say the least, this is a monster motor for the street. To make this car handle like a sports car there is a updated suspension and braking system with massive sway bars, large BFGoodrich tires mounted onto factory Rally wheels and a full set of SSBC four-wheel disc brakes.Once the car was completed it got some major attention from the auto community and was featured in multiple magazines, including Super Chevy, Camaro Performers, Muscle Car Power and Chevy High Performance. All of the memorabilia, including magazines and a die car cast collection of hundreds of 1968 Camaros, will be included in the sale.
