1957 Pontiac Bonneville Serial # P857H35330 Body #546 I bought this car in June 1979. From Pontiac collector Dan Rodgers. To my knowledge he owned it from September 1970, until it changed hands to me. Since I owned the car, I only kept it in dry inside storage. My intention was to restore it, however I never got around to it, and decided to let her go, to clean out projects I cannot get to due to age. At that time, I was freshening up another white and blue Bonneville. I switched the seats from the red and white car into the blue and white car. This explains why this red and white car has blue and white seats. The car originally is a western car. The floors are mint, sanded down with red primer. The trunk floor and the trunk lid is in perfect shape. However, there is minor rust in the upper and inner quarter panels and by the fuel door. The new buyer should be pleased. I have all the emblems for the car, except for the gas fuel door. However, I may find it in my barn, I will look for it, and hopefully find it. Last month, the car was started and the engine ran. I believe this motor may not be a #s matching engine. This is what it was at the time when I purchased it. I also have most of the fuel injection sheet metal and the unit. Back then it was not important to have the correct engine parts. This car is extremely rare, only 630 of these fuel injected convertibles were ever made. I would imagine there are only a few survivors left, possibly less than 100. In the past this car would have brought in over $200,000.00. Now the prices fluctuate all over the board. This car will be set for auction, with a private reserve, Good luck in bidding. My old dream can be yours to restore and drive this classic Pontiac. Cars engine runs, the power windows work. The pictures showcase the car. Please reach out with any questions. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the sale early. Open to respectful offers. 973-383-2001. |
