| Attention : This MB is being relisted due to non payment . Since the previous listing , the title has been transferred to my name and it is currently registered . please note that this car only has five digits on the odometer and the milage is reading 48,808 . it is safe to assume that it has rolled over at least once . Please read the entire listing and ask any relevant questions prior to bidding . I am tired of wasting my time and money dealing with eBay flakes . please do your homework . Thanks !If you're in the market for a classic Fintail ( Heckflosse ) that can be used as a daily driver with minimal effort or a great candidate for a restoration , this may be the one .This 220 SE has spent its entire existence in California and New Mexico . it is a complete and rust free vehicle . A few spots of surface rust are present , but has penetrated the metal and they are very minimal . it maintains its original paint and body panels . The doors close as they should . The interior is in pretty good shape , with one notable tear on the drivers seat . The headliner is original and free of tears and sags . all of the glass have proper German stamping .I purchased this MB from a family who owned it for 20 years . This car was not running at that time , as it sat idle for a number of years .I recently hired my mechanic to change the po3 and spark plugs . The keys to the car wete lost by the previous owners , but he was able to by pass the ignition and was able to find operating mechanical use of the motor , which had good compression on all cylinders . I do have a short video of the motor turning over , which is available upon request .As aforementioned , the car has a clear and clean title in my name . The car was reassigned a replacement vin number . The replacement vin number is identical to the chassis number that is still attached to the vehicle . i can only assume that the car was out of the DMV system for so long that they issued it a new vin tag using the chassis numbers instead of the original vin numbers . In any case , the car has a clean title in my name .I have placed a very fair reserve on this classic , which wasn't far off from the second highest bidder and less than the highest bidder from the last listing .
