Please Read Carefully, I want you to be happy with your purchase....I just bought this car but had to use an old farm house barn to store it and work on it, as my home doesn't have an area to do so. I have already realized that the logistics to be able to make the 3hr trip just to work on the car was way underestimated and Wife is already getting tired of my day trips, which don't produce much as I only have a few hours once you add the 6hr driving time. So, reselling. I have the clean Ohio title that is made out to the guy I just bought it from, as he never re-titled it, and I have a certified bill of sale from him to me and I would provide a certified BOS to you if you purchase, this will allow titling with no problems.Overall the car is in solid condition. It will need some floor pan repair/patch/replacement on the drivers rear panel for sure, both front panels are good enough as is. Definitely some rust, as with all 914's, but most is surface and can be repaired/stopped easy enough. Of special note are the hell hole and rockers, both are in super shape with only minor surface rust. The previous owner completed a top end rebuild of the 1.8L motor. The rebuild includes new pistons, new cylinders, new valve cover tubes, and new valve cover springs. He also painted all of the tin, changed all the oil, new spark plugs & wires, new points, distro cap & button. I have certified the motor will start using the new battery and key switch by the use of starting fluid. There are new carbs and two new fuel pumps (one is 2-2.5psi at 30GPH and the other that I bought is 4psi at 75GPH, which is what we recommended on 914world forum). They both will need to be installed before can gas fire the engine. I was going to rebuild both original carbs (weber bravatito 40IDFs) but was unable to complete one due to sheared bolt and stuck jet, but am including both of them. So can sell the rebuilt one or buy another and go back to original. The linkages and cables for carbs, trans & odometer are all run but still loose under the car, will need final install but all is there. Thus the car will NOT currently operate under it's own power but not be much required to get it to that point..Would be a super fun project with a solid starting point if I had a local shop/garage to work in but feel the smart thing for me to do is let her go.Engine : ECO 40464Paint: 4239223 L64K Regards,Dale |
