Vehicle Information Video Description Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this desirable Austin Healey 3000 that left the factory in great colors. This car was recently purchased from a British car repair/restoration shop in the South. It's missing some easy trim items but is a nice straight car and a good basis for a full restoration.The body on this car is fairly straight. We purchased the car and added a pair of very decent solid doors, a hood and a brand new trunk lid. The front shroud is quite decent with a near perfect rear shroud fitted to the car. The panels have been flash primed for weather protection. The car needs the usual Healey rust repair such as inner and outer rockers, trunk floor, main floors (removed), some outriggers, lower fenders, etc. The rear seat shelf area is excellent and solid. The main frame is very straight and solid with only a few localized soft spots noted, but nice overall and should be put back into use after a sandblast and some easy repairs.The car's interior trim includes the rear seat bottoms, very original dashboard, instruments and switches, windshield posts, top frame.Mechanically, the car is very complete and untouched. It still retains it's correct BT-7 engine with sideshift 4-speed overdrive gearbox and looks pretty much undisturbed. It's stuck from sitting but for this type of restoration a rebuild is in the cards anyways...Overall, a good starting base for a full restoration.
