| 1968 Ford Mustang 2-Door Coupe Pleased to offer this 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe in exceptional condition throughout. Equipped with a 289 CID 2V Engine, Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, Power Front-disc Brakes and a modernized Air-Conditioning system. An older restoration that was recently refreshed to the the tune of thousands of dollars and ready for the marketplace. One of the strong points of this example is an exceptionally solid Body outside and underneath. The car retains all factory original sheet metal. Original Quarter Panels, Floor Pans, Trunk Rails, Torque Boxes and Sub-Frame Connectors. Preservation thanks to our Southwestern dry climate. Judging by the solid body and some of the car's original trim components, one can verify that a well preserved example was used as the foundation of this build. This Pony Car left the Assembly line in San Jose, California, delivered to Phoenix, Arizona and has been here and New Mexico ever since. Marti Report verified, and the Engine Block is Numbers Matching (1968 was the first year Ford Motor Company began stamping partial VIN numbers as mandated by DOT that year). Inspection of the Exterior will reveal straight Body Panels with close gaps, and finished in a gorgeous Ford Mustang color 1968 Q Code Brittany Blue. Originally Gulfstream Aqua Blue. No dents, dings or scratches, and Exterior trim items are a combination of well preserved original and replaced as needed. Glass Panels are original with FOMCO etchings except for the replaced Windshield. The recent installation of Aftermarket Wheels are a nice touch, and give the car a sporty look. Tires are like new. The Interior shows attention to detail everywhere. The Aqua Blue Vinyl Seat Upholstery has been replaced as well as the Door Cards and Headliner. Interior Trim Items are mostly original, and in exceptional condition. The Trunk area has received equal treatment as well. This Mustang is strong mechanically, the engine has been rebuilt to stock specifications, the Transmission shifts firmly, the car stops on a dime and Suspension components have been refreshed.
