1968 1/2 Ford Mustang R Code Real Deal R Code Factory 428 Cobra Jet 4 Speed car Original Sunlit gold, 4 Speed 4.30 Rear Gear Now 538 Big Block Ford Engine Nostalgia Drag Car Link to Video Must Watch: Link to Pictures Look: You are looking at a real 1968 ½ R Code Ford Mustang fastback. This car is a real R code that was originally Sunlit Gold, with black interior, with a 4 speed and 4.30 rear gear. Only 1044 R Code fastback Mustangs were ever made and that was the first time Ford ever put the 428 Cobra Jet engine into a Mustang. The car is far from factory now because it was turned into a ¼ miles Nostalgic race car, that can either be taken to car shows and displayed, or raced. Either way it will bring a lot of joy to the new owner and also a lot of attention. The car has ran low 9’s and should now run 8.90s. The car fires right up everytime. It has no issues at all.
