1967 Mustang 390 convertible. Not many S code convertibles were made as you all know. This is a very complete car. It has a lot of work already completed. All of the dirty and hard work has been done. This car is ready for bodywork to be completed and painted. If you look closely at the pictures, you will even see how nice the gaps are. The only metal that is questionable is the rear valance and the trunk lid. The trunk lid fits very nice but has some small holes on the underside like most do. The rear valance is rough. I am including a new Dynacorn trunk lid and a new valance as well so the new owner can choose what route they would like to go. Engine bay is in great condition. Shock towers don’t appear to have ever been cut for grease fittings for the upper control arms. All three Vin numbers are on the aprons and I have the original door tag as well.Front suspension is new. It also has a 68 style front desk break and spindle set up with a new booster and master cylinder that works great. It is a power top and does have the pump and cylinders and the framework is also with the car.Buyer has choose for the drive train. First option is a 390 mated to a C6 that I was told when I purchased was a good running engine. Or second choose is a rebuilt 351 Cleveland mated to a FMX trans that is currently in the car. It is a good and strong running motor. I'm willing to help and sell separately more engine parts that could have proper date codes. Currently the car does run, drive and stop for easy loading. These S code 67 convertibles are very rare and quite valuable when restored. This will be a great and easy project for someone to complete. If serious please message me with a contact number and I will call back as soon as I can. |
