The vehicle is NOT a rebuild. Although some 10 years ago I stripped the vehicle to clean up the chassis and to respray most of the vehicle as the paintwork was a bit neglected due to it standing 26 years in a county farm shed on Blocks. It still has the same registration, (Title) number and license plates which was registered in 01/01/1973. This was part of the first Toyota chassis cab imports into South Africa. The Load body was manufactured under license in Durban as standard. Parts of the interior have never seen new paint. Modifications, I fitted 2F power steering as it makes it more drivable. It has the original F155 engine 3,9 lt, and you can use an internal camera down the sparkplug hole and still see the Cylinder Bore Honing marks from original Toyota assembly. The engine and 3 speed gearbox are still tight like new. She is very quiet on the road. I had to change the original tyres a few years ago as they were cracking up, but the spare is still from 1972. I removed some of the leaves from the springs to make it soft on the road as I was never going to load it up., and she drives like "Miss Daisy". I had a special rubber mat made for the load body, just for looks. There is not a dent on the load body floor, still like new. I tried to keep it as original as possible but I fitted an after market brake booster as no booster came with this model to help with the braking, but I have the original brake master cylinder if you want it. I also have a reconditioned Landcruiser 40 series brake booster and master if you want to fit it. . The vehicle is in South Africa Cape Town. I have the service book, 5000 km service from the original dealership in 2006 when I was lucky enough to purchase the FJ45, I have done 1500 Kms in the last 9 years. I also own 3 x 40/43 series and so do all the servicing myself, once a year. I fitted a Brand new OEM radiator, hoses and water pump 2 years ago for safety reasons. This is truly a one of a kind. Priced at USD $ 50,000 (Fifty Thousand US Dollars) Transport for buyers account but I will assist with the export if necessary. |
