| About this vehicle This 1973 Volkswagen Thing is a restomod. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle is drivable. Seller's Notes See listing. Vehicle Details 1973 VW Type 181 Thing Good running 1600cc dual port engine. New carb and fuel pump. Engine leaks oil like most old VWs. Runs, drives, and stops good. This is setup to be a sunny day car. It does not have the windows or windshield wipers. Fresh desert sand rhino liner paint. Seats are all in good shape with no tears. It does have some rust here and there. Worst spot I’ve seen is below battery. Overall a pretty solid, good running/driving Thing. I have tried to list it the best that I can, but I am sure that there are things that I have forgotten/missed. Please understand that this is an almost 50 year old car and is not perfect. Fuel gauge and speedometer are not currently working. Please feel free to ask any questions. I am happy to take any additional pictures/videos that you would like.
