CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
Hello and Thank You for viewing my auction. First let me say that this is a true GMC with the first digit of the vin being a "T". I know you would have noticed the Chevrolet grille and said "that is not a GMC" lol. This is a real Short Bed from the Factory not a cut down long bed as many are today. These Short Bed square bodies in project form are becoming so scarce as many have all ready been restored. This is also a real "Seamist Green" two tone with White truck from the factory along with a factory "Seamist Green" interior. This contrast is stunning and I included a photo at the end of the auction of what this truck kind of looked like when it was born except that one is a Chevrolet. It is a real "350 4 barell V8 truck" not a 6 cylinder born with a V8 transplant. I have sold my warehouse and have been selling off my collection one at a time as I do not have room for all of them. This is exactly how I received the truck. I have only put around 5 miles on it. It starts, runs and drives. The starter either needs to be shimmed or is going bad or is loose as I have to turn the key a few times for the starter to catch and then when it does the clicking from the end of the starter can be heard at idle hitting the flywheel until it releases and noise goes away. The truck was born at the GM plant in Georgia and has been in Georgia and South Carolina its entire life until coming to Florida which explains the solid body. The cab corners, cowl, firewall are all solid which are usually problems on these trucks. You can see the photo of the firewall still in the original green paint in incredible condition for being 43 years old. There is a dent on the passenger front fender behind the wheel as shown on one photo and the rest of the body is nice. Even the inside of the bed is nice. There is a chip of paint missing on the passenger fender and I can see the green paint which still looks new and looks like they did not even sand the green paint. I was tempted to take some paint stripper to the blue paint to see how nice that green paint still is but never got around to it. The interior was changed to tan and all the plastic parts that were painted with interior paint could be stripped easy if you wanted to go back to the green or dye any color you want.. I have restored a few of these and use LMC which have anything you need for these trucks and there parts are quality and low priced. These trucks are easy to restore and inexpensive to restore as parts are everywhere and interiors are small and inexpensive to restore as well. This truck will be especially easy if you plan on restoring as there is not much body work to be done. If you decide you are going to build a "slammed" shop truck or a restomod cruiser it already comes with a sharp set of 22 inch wheels. I have not cleaned the truck. I have not painted or shined anything up to hide problem areas. I will not pay a supermodel to lay on the hood for a photo shoot as well. Its a 43 year old truck that will make a great investment and better than stocks as you can drive this one and watch the prices rise every year. These 73-87 square bodies are going up in value so quickly because they are loved by all types of enthusiasts and simply because they just do not make anymore. The 73-80 trucks are even more desirable due to the stronger frames they had. There is a picture of the undercarriage and you can see there how nice the frame is. This was an original Air Conditioned truck from the factory but the compressor is gone. Has Power Steering,Brakes and Air Conditioning when fixed...what else do you need lol. I have the original glove box option sticker still with the truck which is pictured in auction. I have a clean South Carolina title that will be released upon full payment of vehicle. I have set a very reasonable price with a little room for negotiation. I require a $500 NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT after auction ending. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS ARE WELCOMED and I can store the truck in my garage for 30 days free of charge while the paper work is being done and my Cat will be on watch duty 24/7 lol. I have sold many classics cars to overseas buyers and we have PORT here in Jacksonville Florida that makes it easy. Thanks again for your interest in my vehicle and HAPPY MOTORING and LIVE YOUR DREAM.
