I have for auction here a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am 10th Anniversary Automatic 403 Olds. I purchased this vehicle a month ago , site unseen , last owner told me mileage was original at 59,109 , I have no documents to prove this , as the title says Exempt on Odometer. I bought this under the impression that the car had good recent repaint and was closer to show Quality. Unfortunately this is more of a driver grade condition , paint has flaws and from 5 feet away looks great. Interior has had some aftermarket work to seats and headliner over the the years and its in driver grade condition. Engine runs excellent , fires right up , trans shifts great . Everything is complete in engine bay which leads me to think the mileage may be accurate. A/C belt is missing , seems like a/c clutch is locked up. There is a slight power steering leak , not seeing anything else on the floor. I believe someone may have changed front spindles to drop spindles , front is setting to low for me , spindles look recently replaced , the current tire size rubs on sharp turns. Radio is new but seems to not be wired up. Also everything is complete under dash , nothing has been messed with , all vent tubes intact even door buzzers still intact . Over all this a great buy for someone who wants to tinker and cruise around and not get into a restoration that gets taken apart and stuck in the garage never to get finished. This car needs only minor touches and will make a great investment and fun toy without breaking the bank. These second gen Trans Am's are only increasing in value , and being a 10th Anniversary adds to thatGood Luck! |
