1968 Ford Fairlane 500 formal roof, Brittany Blue exterior, blue vinyl bench seat with optional head rests interior, 302 2V engine with C4 automatic transmission ( both missing ), was a 2:79 open 8" rear. Manual steering and manual drum brakes.I got this car as a apart roller, it was going to be drag raced. They welded sub frame connectors on and put a 28 spline 9" in it. That was it. I was going to make it my drag car but realized its to nice to hack up. So I loosely assembled it back together. The only rust on this car is a dime sized hole on the passenger side door frame bottom. See pictureThe body is super solid. Good radiator support, battery tray and inner fenders, front frame rails and shock towers are solid but they were drilled to access zert fittings. My guess is the car was in a small fender bender on driver side, no frame damage but I see the front inner fender was replaced from a donor car and the original rad support was worked on. I can see stick welds there compared to factory spot welds. Must have been a high dinger, not low as the original frame rail is perfect. The donor car was a 390 2V car per inner fender numbers. The other side still has the original fender stamped numbers.Floors and toe board were patched. For some unknown reason the transmission braces at the torque boxes were removed. I am including a set from one of my parts cars. To weld them in now is above my ability. Firewall and cowl is great. Hood, fenders, and doors are great ( minus the one spot I said ). The car had the earlier 2 piece rear lower quarters put on. They are not finished in mud yet. Theres a dinger on the top driverside rear 1/4. Mudded. Rockers, frame rails, transition pan, trunk floor and drop offs are great. Trunk lid is great as well as trunk floor, outer and inner wheel wells too.All stock front and rear suspension, steering, and brakes are great. Rolls nice. I have a PS set up available for extra. I dont have the 500 exterior trim except for the piece on the trunk already.Interior is almost mint. Dash is not cracked. There is a small hole in the headliner behind the visor, missing am radio. Door panels and all seats are great. No seatbelts. No kick panels.Car has hubcaps on it but I can add argent styled steel wheels for extra. Can Also make this car a GT clone with the GT center caps and GT grille emblem for extra money.
