1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS tribute that is meant to be noticed. Not only do you have vibrant red paint on this hardtop, but you have a killer ride that reliable and user friendly. The 1966 Chevelle was updated to get us into the muscle car era. A firmly ceased eyebrow up front, rear fenders bulging upward, flying buttresses on the c-pillar, and taillights hooded by the extended fenders all made a substantial statement. And this one shows it in a distinct way. The attention-grabbing red paint you see on this car just screams look at me with its modern gloss and slick clearcoat appearance. But the paint was far from the only major investment in this classic. The doors shut solid; the hood and trunk line up nicely when closed; and the bumpers have a bright polish. So you can tell this one wants admiration for more than just the paint. It also has the right Super Sport upgrades with the correct SS hood, blacked-out grille, blacked-out rear panel, SS badging, and ribbed rockers. And those Ridler wheels staggered18/20 inch front/rear for an aggressive stance (I do have the 15x8 Rally that we can discuss afterward if you want them extra). Car is fitted with Power Steering, Power Brakes and AC (Ice Cold) and working heater. All the lights and gauges work as they shouldThe black interior looks great against the vibrant red exterior, and it really gets you in the mood for speedy business. This is a great driving setup with classic features like front bucket seats, a center console in-between with working clock. There are also the right upgrades. For example, you have a correct-style column-mounted tach. And that Hurst T-bar shifter just look like an awesome place to rest your right hand. With uncut dash you have a retro-style AM/FM radio CD player mounted under the dash with upgraded speakers. The engine bay has the tidy look to go with the clean outside. It's instantly attractive with smooth inner fenders, and just enough chrome to accent the engine compartment. And while the badging says this is 396, you're actually looking at a GM HO350 cubic-inch V8 with only 2100 miles on it with GM serpentine drive complete with (Alternator, A/C Compressor and power steering) headers and full flowmaster exhaust for a terrific reliable package. The power is feed thru a 700R4 transmission that shifts flawlessly with a nice set of 3:73 rear gears for that highway cruise that makes it more comfortable to enjoy and cruise in. If you are looking for a hot rod or race car this is not the car for you. This is a super reliable car that is turn key to cruise to the shows, take the family for a relaxing ride or just enjoy the attention you get while riding in a iconic classic.
