| About this vehicle This 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller's Notes I have been driving this car regularly and it runs and drives nice it would benefit from some new weather stripping as it does have some wind noise while driving down the highway. Vehicle Details This is an all original 1971 Monte Carlo. It has its original 402 300hp big block with a th400 and a 12 bolt rear end. Power steering, power disc brakes and air conditioning (it operates as it should but has a leak in the rubber line) does not blow cold. Everything else works as it should: lights,radio, heater , wipers, self canceling turn signals, the doors shut good and windows roll up and down nicely. The odometer reads 85xxx and I believe to be accurate but do not have a way of proving it. I planned on restoring this but bought another project car that has taken presidence over this. I bought a complete EZ air ride suspension for this ($1500) and never had the time to install it. (still in the boxes) it will come with this car. It does have new shocks on it at the moment, I’ve been driving it somewhat regularly. This car does have some rust on the lower front drivers fender and both rear quarter panels and the lower rear window channel also has some rust about 4” long. It doesn’t need and extensive rust repair all of it could be fixed with your basic patch panels available from at aftermarket sources. The floor pans and trunk pan are in great shape.
