| 1972 Ford Mustang "Sportsroof" for sale.Located in Temecula, Ca. and available for personal inspection by appointment. H.B. "Toby" Halicki's Original Eleanor meets Mark Hamill's Corvette Summer! This would be the Day 2 (maybe day 3) look for a 1972 Mustang Sportsroof for the cool kids during that time. What the actual story is here, is unknown but the the truth of the matter is the more people look at this car, the more it grows on them. Fat tires in the back, skinnier tires in the front, side pipes, just the right amount of rake and a big block 460 under the hood featuring a Torker Aluminum Intake and 4-barrel Carburetor, obvious dual exhaust, and an automatic transmission. If that all wasn't enough to excite you, maybe the fact that it's a "Blue Plate" California car will harken some nostalgic feelings of the '70's when seeing a groovy ride like this on the street was a common thing. All the nostalgic feelings aside, the fact is that this car does run well and functions around the parking lot as it should, however it has not been a regular driver for some time, having recently been pulled from a Southern California garage covered in dust. It's ready for a restoration to whatever degree you deem necessary. I have spoken to a number of car guys about the car that say they'd drive it as is! To each their own.Some of the options and/or add ons on this car are: Power Steering, Power Front Disc Brakes, Factory A/C (currently non op) Centerline wheels and a Mach I rear wing. It has just had a new fuel tank installed and fuel system flushed. It also comes with an FM Stereo with cassette player.
