The copo king Berger Chevrolet, Grand Rapids, MI purchased this car from another dealers new car inventory and along with the other 50 Camaros in there 69 copo program performed there legendary copo build. Berger's cars were all ordered with SS trim with the hockey stick stripe on the front fender, p steering and p frt. disc brakes. Over the last 50 yrs. every detail unique to the copo build has been retained including the Built by Berger emblem that has never been reproduced, nothing has been deleted. The spare is the original rally wheel and wide oval tire never on the ground and has the sticker on the tread. This was a double copo the 9561 was the L-72 425 HP 427 4 bolt main #512 block Date coded 1969, cowl induction hood, Winters square port aluminum intake, correct ex. manifolds, dual ex, original #4346 Holley 4bbl. numbers matching 4spd and 12 bolt posi rear end. Built in the Norwood Ohio plant with the x-66 on the cowl tag that has been certified by NCRS and a Jerry MacNeish data analysis. Berger's Camaros could be ordered with any options except AC, this one has the console, center gauges, speed warning buzzer, super rare rear defrost and AM FM deluxe radio and it also was a double copo 9337 off road package that included rally wheels and spare, 140 mph speedometer, tach, 13/16" front sway bar, fuel gauge in center dash, the rare electronic ignition used only on the L-72 427s on the Corvettes and copos. Everything works, even the clock occasionally. The detail is remarkable with all the inspectors paint marks and stamps, this car is just as nice on the underside as on top. No expense was spared on this full rotisserie restoration to original specs. that is as delivered condition or better. This is the nicest driving 1st series Camaro I have ever driven!!! Both sets of tires and wheels are included, the rally's have near new redlines. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING!! |
