CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
100% of sale goes to Feeding America Charity! You can’t set up a donation auction under eBay Motors. Their listing form does not have that capability yet. They are in the process of changing this process. Sorry for any confusion, but that’s just the way charity donations are set up in eBay right now.Instead of this sitting in my driveway, waiting for me to retire in 2 years so I can have fun restoring it, I’d rather sell it now to help feed the hungry....especially during and due to COVID. Heck, if Jersey Mikes thinks Feeding America is a good charity, so do I.This is a project car, because the engine doesn’t start right now. After rebuilding the engine and C6 transmission, I drove it for a bit, then it just sat in my driveway, month after month, waiting for me to retire. After sitting so long, it won’t start. I’m sure it’s an easy fix, but I am at a point I’d rather donate the value of the car as is, feed some hungry people, and let the new owner of the car get it running or do a restoration, modification, drop a crate motor in it....the sky’s the limit.I rebuilt the original engine. It is a 4 bolt main. Once In there, it showed that it had already been rebuilt once before as the bore was 30 over. My machinist took it to 60 over. New cam, oil pump, valves, balancer, dizzy, etc. Custom FPA headers by Stan.My vision for it in retirement was have fun, take it down to the ,frame, clean it all up, bring it up to par, and drop the right crate engine into it and then drive it everyday. To hell with that! Feed people now, in these tough times, with your help...and let you have fun with the car.MORE INFO.I have had the car since 2015.1. Rust, everyone wants to know about it and I get it. Nothing but the typical surface rust you would expect on a car that sits in a driveway uncovered and doesn’t get run. Couple of very minor spots on paint, only one bubbling spot size of a quarter on top of left front fender. The first thing I did to the car in 2015 was remove everything from inside the car, seats, upholstery, door panels, entire dash assembly. I expected the worse because the car had a bad heater core and coolant had leaked and saturated the carpet under bench seat. Only surface rust there was around the pan drain holes. I cleaned that up and rattle canned it with primer and white. Underneath the car, frame rust is again, just surface stuff you would expect. I know because I lived under the car, see below.2. Replaced heater core.3. Cleaned up instrument gauges, added led lights to them.4. Put the inside back together with new carpet.5. Pulled the front windshield and rear. Replaced the front seal, new butyl seal. New Steele rubber gasket for back. No issues with pinch welds, no rust!6. Replaced trunk and hood seals.7. Rebuilt the C6. That’s what I mean by living under the car.8. Bought R134 conversion kit. Only mounted the new compressor so far.9. New Demon 750 carb this year.
