First, I cannot believe I am selling this car, but I sure hope you are as excited as I am about this Mustang. This car has been in our family since October 1986. My wife and I have bought another car that needs the garage space. This car has never been stored outside in the time we have owned it. I would rather sell it to a great owner than see it get ruined by sitting outside. The Mustang is a matching numbers car. It is 2P Red and 1C Black. 2P Red was a one year only color for Ford in 1979. The Red portion of the car had been repainted prior to our ownership. There are only minor chips that are easily fixed. My father bought this car when the 1985 Mustang GT's just came out. He thought the car needed a spoiler so he went to the Ford dealership and bought a NOS rear spoiler. Dad also added an Edelbrock 2121 performer manifold and a Holley 600 CFM 4bbl carburetor with cyclone headers. This car has never been beat on or raced. I am more of a purist. I have included with the Mustang, a 1979 NOS 2bbl Aluminum intake manifold along with a correct 2150 Motorcraft carburetor. Currently, part of the exhaust is cut-off. I also am including a brand new, still in the box, factory style complete exhaust minus the catalytic converter, and 1979 exhaust manifolds. When we moved from Tennessee to SC, we had a car transport transfer the car. Somewhere along the way, the gas tank got a hole in it. I will be including a new in box 'Spectra' gas tank, as well as a reproduction gas tank sender, gas tank seals, NOS gas tank bolts, NOS fuel pump, and a NOS Ford gas tank sender. The car runs. I have included a video below, of me walking around the car, and starting it with starter fluid. However, the car will need to be trailered. This will be a fun easy Winter project. The car has had black interior, with painted red panels. In addition, I will be including NOS factory red rear interior panels. The AC does not work, but I am including an NOS AC Clutch for repair. The current alternator is a rebuilt Motorcraft, However I have also included a NOS date coded alternator.I have a build sheet, Marti Elite Report, and Factory Invoices for this car .I am a 79-93 MCA Judge and my goal for this car was to premier Concours class and be awarded goal. This car is very special!I have included the following items, that will need to be installed* 1979 Date Coded Spark Plug Wires* New TMI Headliner with ABS back board, it has a new headliner installed with the cardboard backing.* New Classic Tube Front Brake Lines* New Classic Tube fuel pump to carburetor* 4 Yards of SMS factory interior and piping for the seats. I did not like the TMI interior. * NOS Alternator* NOS Motorcraft Correct Blue Distributor Cap, base, and rotor* NOS Motorcraft Date Coded Positive and Negative battery Cables* NOS Neutral Safety Switch* NOS Motorcraft Electronic Regulator* NOS Motorcraft Ignition Module* NOS Emission Crossover Pipe* Interior Screw Kit* NOS rear drum shoes* NOS Ford Overflow Tank and Fluid Sensor* NOS Ford Cobra Hood Decal* NOS Air Cleaner Snorkel.* NOS Air Conditioner Clutch* New Spectra gas tank, fuel sending unit, fuel filler neck,* NOS Smog Pump.* NOS windows regulator track * New Set of 'power door lock actuators'* NOS rear window seal* '2' NOS Emergency Brake CablesIn full transparency, there are a few things that do not work perfectly. The driver side window does not roll down properly. I took off the door panel, and the windows regulator track is broken, so I will be including a NOS windows regulator track. - See picture. The rear bumper has some chips on it. I am including a nice used bumper cover. - See Picture. The rear window seal, inside, is sagging in one spot. I am including a new seal. Please ask any questions, I am happy to show anyone the car. I will be sick to my stomach when it goes. I have also done a walk around of this Mustang, Please see the video herehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-p_YYSWVwIWe had a dishonest, unprofessional bidder when we initially listed the vehicle last month.
