| 1954 Ford Customline 2 Door This custom built 54 Ford has a pretty much stock look to it outside,except that some will notice that the wind wings were removed and a one piece side glass has been added.Both door windows are power.These Fords are often overlooked, but if you look deeper you'll see the smoothness of detail front to back and inside and out.This was a complete professional restoration done by the prior owner in North Carolina with beautiful paint and interior.The paint is Lexus Barcelona Red Pearl. The interior is a high quality Red and black vinyl with 2003 Chevy Tahoe power front seats.With power windows ,Rack and pinion power steering,power assisted brakes ,A/C and with Flaming River tilt column .The center console is beautiful as well with Lokar shifter.The engine department shows a wonderful attention to detail. Power under the hood comes from a rebuilt 1972 351 Cleveland with 4 bolt mains. with a mild hydraulic cam of .480-.488 lift / 270-290 duration. March serpentine belt system too.A C-6 automatic with a triangulated 9" Lincoln Versaiile 2.47 rear gear ratio. This Ford has Disc brakes on all four corners ,as well as adjustable shocks.A great handling road car! Will cruise all day at 70+ with ease.The trunk is finished in a beautiful red carpet. The underneath is super clean with no rust .All professionally executed.One issue with the car, the differential has a little whine to it when decelerating in the 50 to 40 MPH range. A straight forward repair if your physically capable.I'm not at this point..Neck issues that are mending slower than expected.Anyway, assuming it is the ring and pinion --that is about $400 for parts--rebuilt center section $900--new center section $1300.This is of course without labor charges.As a recent resident of the state I do not have any connection to a competent shop.I would normally do this myself.Not now. So the price is a reflection of needed work..The Ford still drives wonderful and the rear will need that repair eventually. I do encourage and welcome Onsite Pre-inspections .Just call me and we will set a date.910 579 6737.
