Two tone green with green interior. Triple green! :350 motor original. Automatic transmission. Trans leaks fluid slowly thought to be pan gasket.very light power steering fluid leak, have replacement line. Odometer reads 36 thousand something. I assume it’s rolled over once. Guy I got if from thought it could be truly 36000 as it never left the town on Benton Arkansas but I don’t really think it’s posdible. Short bed. Drivers side mirror glass not there. Scottsdale model. Front seat original, some minor rips. Tailgate not original but has been on the truck for at least 25 years. I bought it two years ago in Arkansas and drove it home. Went straight and true down the road. Everybody waving at the truck when it goes by. It’s sat in the garage since. Has correct rims and caps. Front grill correct but aftermarket, it didn’t have one, I put it in. Radio correct but doesn’t work. Ac truck everything there but I didn’t charge it or anything. Crank windows. Custom rear bumper from selling dealership original. Has the name of the dealership and town engraved in the steel. Was a shop truck for a transmission repair facility, was used to pick up transmissions for repair. Inside of bed beat up from transmissions. Had a small crane to lift them installed into the tube you see at the front passenger side of the bed. Has a light sideswipe passenger side. Just the front fender and the trim at the back of the bed Has been painted once sometime prior to 1997. Was last on the road in 1997. carb not original. It’s an edelbrock. I would imagine motor could stand to be rebuilt but I drove it home 900 miles no issues. Dual gas tanks. New tank selector switch. But running off right hand tank, haven’t switched up gas lines at the soloniod under the truck. Switch failed on the way back so I just plumbed it to the passenger side and left it at that. Tanks don’t leak. As I remember drivers side was just filled up before switch failure. Missing some passenger chrome on side. Glass all good. Real solid underneath. there is some bondo in the truck from the repaint. It’s was a quick job I am sure, it was a shop truck not someone’s baby. But it was never a rusty truck. Odometer works. Speedometer cable not wonderful as it jumps around. After a while it settles down and is fairly accurate. the amp gauge dosent work. All original sheet metal and interior. Clasp for rear sliding window broken. Original exterior mirrors. Drivers missing glass mirror. Front bumper from a later year, brackets were just cut and welded to make that happen likely during repaint. Still on its Arkansas title. I never registered it. As is. No warranty. Plan to trailer it. Or have it shipped. I haven’t put trans fluid in it, I just put a big pan under it and let it drip into over the last two years. I have the gasket and fluid comes with. I have the owners manuals and shop manuals for the truck I have the big sticker from the glove box that lists the options. It’s was fairly well optioned for a Scottsdale. I have an original 1978 brochure that comes with 42 year old truck. Not new not perfect not a daily driver. Not registered. Consider it a project. Of course could be daily driver within a few hours or days depending what you will do with it. No warranty. As is. Clean title. Gotta be paid for before it goes anywhere. No nonsense. |
