With under 250 miles on it since a complete restoration, this has everything you want from a beautiful color combo to the correct D-code V8 providing plenty of cruising power. A first-generation T-bird rendered in Colonial White has the appeal of driving around fine China. The graceful color just has a way of rendering the lines that give this vintage convertible a timeless elegance. And this example embodies this thanks to a careful restoration in 2013 and so few miles put on it since. There's nice panel alignment so you can close the doors with confidence; the fender skirts follow the contour of the body; and it's a full white package with whitewalls and a snug-fitting folding roof. And of course, when investing in a proper restoration, the brightwork takes center stage. It's not just that all the pieces are complete and mirror-like, but also that they took the time on the details, too. That's why the exhaust still exits through the rear bumper and there are genuine wire wheels for a true premium image. Red interiors always look fantastic on white cars. Thoughtful luxury was a true hallmark of this classic, and so they paid careful attention to making this authentic while remaining luxurious. It starts with the details, like the pattern of the seat and the plushness of the carpet. And it's also in the terrific details, like the Thunderbird logo embossed in the doors and power side windows with correct wing windows. The Thunderbird was going directly for the Corvette at this time, and so they also made sure it had sporty details, like a tachometer and the elegant machine-turned insert that flows across the dash and onto the doors. Plus, you have the best luxury features of the time like a telescopic steering column, full heater, and AM radio. It's all working correctly, because this T-bird was restored to be an elegant time capsule. More of that time capsule feeling comes with you open the hood. It's a bright and tidy correct presentation. You'll appreciate seeing nice elements like the pie dish air cleaner w/gasket, big red block, and Thunderbird-specific valve covers. But beneath the aesthetics of that great looking engine bay is some real substance. This D-code T-bird correctly has the larger 312 cubic-inch V8, and it inhales deeply through a correct Holley four-barrel carburetor. This gives plenty of authority to the sound from the dual exhaust. And as you look at the undercarriage photos, you see more of the clean distinction that comes from a careful frame-off restoration. Power steering, power brakes, and a three-speed automatic transmissions means Ford's personal convertible delivers on its luxury cruising promise. The sale comes with build receipts documenting over $21k invested in creating this crisp and clean T-bird. So if you love award-worthy quality, call today!!!
