Chevrolet Chevelle Project. 95% complete. Factory 4-speed.Her story: I named her "Habitual Offender" because of the orange colored correctional jumpsuit she always wore. My older brother found her in Lakewood, WA in 1978. She was a basket case. The previous owner worked construction and used her like a work truck. The trunk and interior was stacked full of concrete form parts and pieces. Rebar too long to carry? No problem, just poke it through the back window. We used a tow rope to haul it 30 miles to Olympia where it sat in my brother's driveway until 1983 when I convinced him to sell it to me. I got her rolling again and drove it around for years. Started work on her 5 years ago, retired, messed up my back pretty bad so here we go:Tons of parts included. Needs brake lines, convertible top installed (included, black) moderate body work and paint, lots of little adjustments; shifter linkage, carb tweaking, window hardware, etc. The engine has been sitting a while, may need new seals.Health problems prevent me from finishing. (2 herniated discs, 2 bulging, one fusion so far, stenosis.) Please be serious because it's difficult for me to get around, also I'm old and vulnerable to the damn covid. I have a good idea what this is worth but I'm also motivated to sell. Thanks for looking. |
