1959 Cadillac Convertible All number matching,, Frame, Motor and Door jam tag Phenomenal car with a great history The previous owner had the car for 20+ years. Prior to that it was owned by David Taylor Cadillac, an authorized Cadillac Dealer and it was kept in his privately owned Museum.For the past 20 years it has been used and driven monthly in the local area for pleasure on nice rain free days. When not in use it was kept in a dehumidified garage.The prior owner maintained it on a regular basis and the only upgrades are the addition of; Air conditioning that blows cold and no freon has been added. Power disc brakes on the front complete with an equalizer valve and and dual cylinder master cylinder. Am/Fm Radio mounted out of sight, the speakers are also out of sight.When viewing the attached photos, you will see the nicely detailed, rust free undercarriage with very little oil seepage, so no leaks.It also has a reasonably new correctly installed exhaust system. It stops straight and smooth from all speeds.It runs on premium fuel with no chatter or hesitation. It starts easily and idles incredibly smooth and cruises effortlessly at highway speeds. In the past 6 months it has been driven across Houston, approximately 50 miles each way, at hwy speeds, from the Southwest side of Houston to near the Bush Intercontinental Airport numerous times with no issues.The suspension is nice and tight and the body height is as it left the factory. ( no sagging front springs)The tires are wide white wall radials and are silk smooth at highway speeds.The convertible top and pads have been replaced within the last 90 days.All the power windows, power seat and power top work smoothly.The body is incredibly straight and the previous paint job was obviously professionally applied.Upon close inspection of the body, I found no cracks, no bubbles and no signs of shrinkage or signs of rust or rust repair anywhere on the body. The door jams have no overspray. there is one small rock chip on the hood.The hood pad is as new and all the rubber seals are soft and pliable.All the chrome plating is exceptionally nice and shines as when new, quite possibly better than when new. The bumpers and grilles front and rear really accentuate the black paint. The only imperfection found on any of the chrome pieces was a very small spot on the upper right rear window frame.The interior is in the correct factory materials and colors. The leather seating surfaces are soft and pliable. All the door and trim panels fit excellent.The interior lights all work as they should. The carpets fit as if it just left the factory and there are no wrinkles.
