| About this vehicle This 1956 Oldsmobile 88 is a restored vehicle. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller's Notes A few things to note: There is an area along the hood line and a few other places that will need attention soon. The electric wiper motor needs a new switch. The heating system only blows heat out the bottom vents. The power antenna needs to be replaced. All minor items that can easily be fixed. Vehicle Details The owner has owned this gorgeous 1956 Oldsmobile 88 sedan for the last 21 plus years. It’s been a weekend driver to car shows and weekend get aways. It’s been garage kept all these years. Lots of updates like all new shocks, rear leaf springs and front coil springs replaced. A rebuilt master cylinder and starter have just been rebuilt. The old vacuum wiper motor has been replaced with an electric motor. The engine has an electronic ignition, so no points to mess with. A spin on oil filter has also been installed. The gas gauge, speedometer, and odometer all work. The turn signals, headlights, parking lights and back up lights function properly. The windows all crank up and down freely. Door and trunk locks work. The radio is an am/fm cassette. However, the original radio comes with the car. The spinner hub caps are not original to the car, but is unique to 1956. The frame is solid. This a great car that is ready for you to own. Take it to cruise nights, weekend getaway’s, or just around town. Original shop manuals, and framed posters come with car. Images Exterior The colors of Light Pewter and Black Cherry really make this car stand out. These are standard 1988 Chrysler paint codes. Easy to touch up when needed. Paint is not perfect, as a little touch up has been done as needed from time to time. Interior The headliner, along with the front and rear bench seat upholstery was replaced about 20 years ago. Still looks as good as the day it done. Engine With in the last year the 324 Rocket engine was professionally rebuilt from top to bottom.
