Vehicle Description OLD SCHOOL!!!!!!! If your old like me and like the Old School type of car, you need to look at this one. 455 cubic inch engine, TCI Turbo 400 transmission, 3.73 to 1 positive traction rear end, Cragar SS wheels, Goodyear polyglass tires, glass pac mufflers, disc brakes front, power brakes, power steering and more.READ VERY CLOSE AND YOU WILL NOT FIND A SUGAR COATED DESCRIPTION WITH 89 PICTURES, SOME VERY CLOSE UP!!!!!!!!!!IS THIS A REAL BORN IN THE FACTORY GTO? NO! NO! NO! Its just a rock solid Lemans that has added GTO features. Its better than most, the tail lights tell you that. Past owner spent a lot of money on this car.DO YOU HAVE A GOOD TITLE? Of course I do! I have a clear title in hand and it is signed off correctly. I just have a garage here at home, but have used car dealer license. I'm 74 years old and don't need a hassle with the IRS or state of Tennessee.WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY OLD SCHOOL? To me this is the way we would do a car in the late 60s and 70s. Biggest engine we could find and afford, positive traction rear end, tuff transmission, after market shifter, Cragar wheels, white lettered tires and we had to have glass pac mufflers and dual exhaust.HEAD LIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK!TURN SIGNALS WORK! BRAKE LIGHTS WORK!HAZARD FLASHERS WORK! DOME LIGHT NOT WORKING!TURN SIGNAL INDICATORS IN CLUSTER WORK! BRIGHT INDICATOR WORKS!HORN ON PUSH BUTTON! GAS GAUGE WORKS! GAUGES UNDER DASH WORK! N ON PUSH BOTTON! RADIO WORKS, BUT IS A CHEAP AFTER MARKET!HOW IS THE BODY RUST WISE? The past owner found a rock solid body looks like to me. The best I can tell all the panels are original and not patched. I see no rust bubbles in the paint, the body mounts look very good, frame very good, not detailed for show on the bottom, but clean and solid. Look at all my under side pictures.HOW IS THE ENGINE? Its not original, but fits just like the original. Its a rebuilt 455 cubic inch. I hear no knocks and see no blue smoke. It starts good and runs like a demon. It has a high torque starter, mild cam with just enough lope, very clean with aluminum pullies, aluminum intake, chrome valve covers and air cleaner, MSD coil and distributor and of course a big dual line Holley. New gas tank with electric fuel pump inside, fuel regulator and big line from the tank to front. Holley carburetor is a series with no choke, it starts good, you just have to let it warm up like you should anyway. A very high dollar Griffin aluminum radiator and multi bland fan added. You will like the engine!HOW IS THE REAR END? Its a 10 bolt positive traction with aluminum cover for cooling. I checked the ratio and it turned 1 to 3.83. That's a little low but not crazy low.HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? It the a tuff Turbo 400 by TCI. That very good name transmission and is not cheap. The car does have a stall convertor, to will let the engine idle better when your setting idling or pull up for a stop. The shifter is a after market B&M ratchet type.HOW IS THE INTERIOR? Seat covers good, head liner looks like new, good carpet, good door panels, dash pad good. The only real problem I see is the bead on the edge of the drivers seat is worn.HOW IS THE ELECTRICAL WIRING? Most all the wiring is new, a after market wire kit and fuse panel added, fuses are the modern type with flashers in the panel. Wire are tied up under the dash, could have been a little neater under there, but no problem.NEW GAS TANK WITH ELECTRIC PUMP INSIDE!AFTER MARKET TILT STEERING COULMN ADDED AND IT CHROME!HOW IS THE HEAT AND AIR? No air conditioning, heater box and controls removed waiting for a Vintage Air system.HOW ARE THE BRAKES? I consider them good, a after market booster added and it chrome. The front are disc and look fresh, intermediate parking cable and arm missing.HOW IS THE CHROME? Good bumpers, stainless good, door handles and emblems good.HOW IS THE PAINT? Its a dark burgundy with lots of fine metallic. I consider the body straight down the sides and panel fit about like factory for the day. Paint is very shinny, I see no dents or dings and no rust bubbles. I do see a few specs, mostly from dust in the paint room.HOW IS THE EXHAUST SYSTERM? Full tube headers, aluminized pipes with glass pac mufflers. If your younger you may not like the glass pac sound, it loud and a little poppy. If your old like me and remember the sound you will love it.HOW ARE THE WHEELS AND TIRES? Old School here, Cragar SS wheels with Goodyear bias polyglass tires. Not as good as radial, but neat to look at.HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? To me it drives good for the day, lots of new front end parts and its power steering. You can't compare the drive to a modern car.HOW IS THE GLASS? Side window are electric and work. The back side windows only work by the switches in the back. They are clear with no cracks, back window good, windshield good with no cracks or bulls eyes, it doe have a very faint wiper mark. WINDSHIELD WIPERS? Look like a new wiper motor, wiper arms are wrong, they angle when they lay down is wrong, I have new ones ordered. The connected rod from the motor to the other arm is missing. I have new ones ordered from Original Parts Group, it is on back order and they say it will be about a week before it comes in. I may have to send it to you if the car sells before it comes, it easy to put on.HOW ARE THE WHEELS AND TIRES? OLD SCHOOL HERE! Cragar SS wheels, Goodyear polyglass white lettered bias belted tires. Tires are not as smooth as modern radials.WHAT IS THE HISTORY? bought the car from a dealer friend near Cincinnati. It has a window decal from Albany Georgia, we think it lives in southern Georgia because of how rock solid it is, they don't use lots of salt on the roads in south Georgia.WHERE IS THE CAR NOW? Athens, Tennessee 37303.WHO AM I BUYING FROM? Ron Watson, I'm 74 years old and doing this because I love it. Call me 423-506-8987.I WILL TAKE A VIDEO THIS MORNING, call me and I'll test it to you.
