CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
Hello! This is my 1962 Pontiac Tempest LeMans Convertible. I purchased her in 2014 from the family of the original owner; she had been sitting in a garage for a number of years undriven, unused, and kind of unloved. She has the 195ci four cylinder engine with two speed Powerglide transmission/transaxle, and came from the factory with the “Power Pak” 4 barrel carb and high compression 10.25:1 heads. I had her towed to a local classic car specialist shop where she underwent a complete fuel system replacement, fuel tank cleaned and lined, all hoses and fluids replaced, new tires and brakes with a dual chamber master cylinder and wheel cylinders, front suspension replacement, new aluminum multi-core radiator and thermostat, electronic ignition and new plugs. She started right up and starts right up every time to this day! I’ve replaced the carpets, door panels, rear seat panels, window and door handles, and so much more. I have purchased a number of new things to add including new white front seats with brackets and a new top that are ready for installation and come with the car, new top pump and lines already installed. I have purchased some NOS items like a dash mounted clock (works great but not installed) and a grill that is installed (extra grill with the car). I have a trunk full of extra parts from 6 years of collecting. I sell this with a lot of regret but family health issues require me to sell. I’m sure I’m forgetting a number of things and will add as I think of them. This baby is a blast to drive and is ready for a new owner who will drive her regularly and enjoy her patina! Please let me know if you have any questions, want more pictures, or anything else. I have well over $15k sunk into her, and looking at NADA and Hagerty pricing I believe $10k is an awesome deal for what you’re getting, especially with all the extras that come with it. I highly encourage you to come take a look and a drive, or have someone give her a once over, so you know exactly what you’re getting. The buyer is responsible for any transport, and I am happy to make myself available for pickup. No warranty is given or implied. A $500 deposit is due within 24 hours via PayPal and payment by bank wire transfer or cash only for payment unless we agree otherwise. Car is released when funds are released.
