| About this vehicle This 1970 Chevrolet Camaro is a restored vehicle. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for car shows. Seller's Notes Hundreds of additional photos available on request. Vehicle Details This is one of the best, if not THE best, all true-to-original 1970 350 V8 Rally Sport machines in existence. Frame off, bolt-by-bolt rotisserie restoration. After media blasting, the entire frame and all sheet metal underwent rust proofing and all panels were properly gapped and hand-welded/hand-shaped to avoid using body filler. Then the car was resprayed with factory build sheet matching Classic Copper (67) color with 2 coats of metallic followed by 4 coats of clear then hand polished to a mirror finish that looks wet and shimmers in the sunlight. Body and paint work completed by one of the best luxury auto paint and body shops in the Southwest. Original numbers matching engine (510270), numbers matching transmission and numbers matching rear axle were rebuilt to factory build specs and the motor pushes you back in your seat with a magnificent and smooth angry growl. 1533 miles since rebuild. This car came maxed with options from the factory with power steering, power disc brakes, factory air, deluxe luxury seats in ivory, Z87 deluxe interior, Z22 rally sport package with split bumper, radio, hidden windshield antenna, desirable horseshoe shifter, sound deadening under the carpets and more. All this can be confirmed with confidence since the original paper build sheet was found on the fuel tank during restoration which is documented in photographs and included in the sale along with an entire binder of photographs documenting the rotisserie restoration. The car was built in GM’s Van Nuys California factory and sold in California in February of 1970. The original California license plate is included with the sale and stayed in the original family for 30 years. It has changed hands twice since then and the current owner has spent the last 5 years finishing the magnificent restoration. The only performance modifications that have been made are the addition of an Edelbrock performance intake and an Edelbrock 4 barrel carb with electric choke for easy starts in all weather. However, original intake manifold and original carb are in-hand and included with the sale. Idles perfect, shifts perfect, accelerates strong, tracks linearly at highway speeds, corners perfect with solid and predictable braking. Zero dash cracks. Not even the smallest tear or scuff in the upholstery. Zero rock chips, door dings, scratches or scuff marks. No swirl marks anywhere in the paint. If you notice any swirls in the photos that is from the wax recently applied before the photo shoot. All photos taken in November 2020 (except the ones documenting the restoration of course). Only stored in climate controlled garage since completion of restoration.
