CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
About this vehicle This 1970 Cadillac DeVille Coupe is an original. The owner has had it for 4 years. The vehicle needs work and is not regularly driven. Seller's Notes Actual mileage may not be 45,000, this is just what the dash is showing. It could’ve turned at 100,000, I can’t confirm that it has or hasn’t. Vehicle Details Selling my 1970 Cadillac Coupe Deville. I purchased this vehicle almost four years ago after my dad passed, because he had the same vehicle throughout my childhood (had every intention of putting time into it but just don’t have the time). The vehicle has been in storage and with the current circumstances, I had to get rid of the extra expense. I’ve since brought the vehicle home and it’s currently sitting in my garage. Ive kept the registration current even though I don’t drive much, there are no back fees. It’s definitely not a show car (way more of a project car) and will need work, I’ll try my absolute best to describe what I have found in each section below. I’ve tried to include as many relevant images that show the vehicles exact condition, I’m trying to be as straightforward as possible for the future owner of this vehicle. Vehicle Information Engine/Trans: Has what I believe is the original 472 that runs and also drives, though I wouldn’t recommend driving it anywhere far. The previous owner stated that the miles are original, though I haven’t been able to verify. Since I’ve owned the vehicle I have maybe driven it 30-50 miles. Mostly just to start and drive side streets around storage facility. I’ve replaced the oil and filter within the last week, it’s running rough though. When driving the trans shifts smoothly, I’ve never felt anything noticeable that would lead me to think anything else. Interior: Interior is pretty clean as seen from the pictures. I believe that it’s original, though I can’t verify. The only damage I can visually see from inspecting is the small tear in the headliner that I’ve attached an image of. The power windows, door locks, and seats all are in working condition. It was equipped with AC but it’s currently not working. Speakers are old and not working great. Exterior: The paint is white and not original, you can see that it was painted at some point. There is some overspray and you can also see some runs in certain locations that I’ve attached some pictures of. There are some small dents in the body, when you get a close look from the side you can see them. To my knowledge, all chrome trim and emblems are on the vehicle (don’t think I missed any). The front bumper has a scratch but the rear is pretty clean, both have some pitting but nothing major. I’ve removed the fender skirts once, they have some rust but might be able to be repaired. Tires are worn, will need to be replaced. Rust: Roof is black vinyl and is showing some rust bubbles near glass. I’ve attached some images of the ones that are noticeable. I’m not sure how bad it is, but there is definitely some under the vinyl. When I first received the vehicle I wasn’t able to get inside the trunk, but I have changed the lock and it now unlocks easily. The trunk doesn’t closes and locks, but as you can see from the images there is a slight gap. After some digging on forums, I believe there might have been an auto trunk pull down (I can’t verify 100% though). Inside the trunk there is a good amount of rust, with some visual holes. I’m assuming that the vehicle will need a whole new trunk pan, but possibly just patches. Additional Information: If there is anything I might not have described or may have missed, please feel free to message me. I tried my best to describe the current condition of the vehicle, I’m selling it as-is. The vehicle is located in Huntington Beach, California and can be picked up from my residence. Please bid responsibly if you choose to do so, I’m trying to sell at a fair price for both myself and buyer. Payment: I’m going to require a $1000 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end payable through PayPal. The remaining balance will need to be paid by certified funds within 7 days. The vehicle will be available for pick up or shipping (arranged by the buyer) once all funds have cleared. If you can’t abide by these guidelines I kindly ask that you do not bid.
