For sale is my 1979 Ford Bronco Ranger XLT with factory chromatic stripes! This Bronco has been my personal weekend driver since I acquired it from the original owner in June. The Bronco was ordered new at Riverton Ford in Riverton Wyoming and delivered to the original owner on April 17th of 1979. He special ordered the Bronco with the exact options he wanted, those options included chromatic stripes, Highback captains seats, factory aluminum slotted wheels, center console, the Ranger XLT package and much more. Attached is the marti report documenting all the options. The bronco has covered approximately 53k miles. I have kept the exterior of the Bronco all original but returned the interior to showroom condition along with addressed any issue preventing it from being a turn key daily driver (more on that below). At the heart of this bronco is its original 351 cubic inch V8 backed by a 4-speed manual transmission and NH205 two speed part time transfer case. The engine is original and with the exception of rebuilding the carburetor and doing a tune up on it we have not had to address anything. The 4-speed manual shifts well and benefits from a new Luk clutch I had fit when I purchased the Bronco. The 4WD system works as it should. I replaced the shocks with Rancho 5100s at all 4 corners, as well as rear leaf springs, front and rear brakes, brake lines, fuel lines, fuel tank and full exhaust. I wanted this to be a turn key truck I could drive anywhere. I have receipts for all the parts changed. The interior of the Bronco was restored back to showroom condition. The factory Indian rug highback seats are perfect with zero rips, tear or defects, the carpet is in excellent shape, I redid the door panels to like new condition and added a set of Kicker audio speakers to the doors while I had them apart. Dash pad has no cracks. All the gauges and controls work as they should. The exterior of the bronco is completely rust free and still sports its original Chromatic Full Airbrush tape stripes as noted on the Marti Report. The all original black paint does show some patina especially on the cowl, right quarter and tailgate but gives this truck an amazing character. I couldn’t bring myself to repainting this truck and replacing the stickers with aftermarket ones. The originals looked too cool. The “cactus smasher” brush guard is a factory Ford one from 1979 that I installed with a set of KC daylighters and matching covers. The floors and all the other usual rust spots are all original and in excellent shape. The factory aluminum slot wheels have been fit with a new seat of 33x10.5R15 BFG Mud Terrain KM3 Tires This is the perfect patina driver you can drive anywhere and get a ton of comments when you do! Its hands down my favorite Bronco I have hand and Im only selling it to purchase a larger building for our business. More photos available upon request, I wanted to make sure I included photos of the bronco in both sunlight and shade in the listing as the stripes change depending on light! |
