CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
About this vehicle This 1964 Volkswagen Bus is an original. The owner has had it for 2 years. The vehicle is drivable and is not regularly driven. Seller's Notes I have mentioned everything of note above. Vehicle Details I have never driven this bus. It has the correct pop top, but has no canvas. It rolls and steers and shifts. It has what looks like a dual port 1600cc engine. It turns over with the key and my test battery, but needs a condenser, I assume. Brake condition is unknown; i would put fluid in them and bleed abd replace as necessary. Gas tank condition unknown. It may not even have gas in it. It has had some body work in the past, namely, both ends of the front floor using the correct metal, possibly the rear corner (battery area tray too) and outer 12 inches of rear floor, using flat metal. It is a bench seat so 42, but lacks the cabinetry and most camper interior. It does have a sink and cabinet below which is not bolted to the floor, though the drain hole is there for the drain pipe. It has the Z bed that opens up with storage underneath. It has been bumped in the lower front and needs to be repaired again. I suspect the lower 6 inches of the nose skin panel were replaced at some point too (common). It it tan throughout and do not know the original color. Tires will roll, but not for road use. They will hold air for loading. Titled in my name. Has popout windows and not jailhousy windows. It retains its original State of California housing department inspection plate (ie is a camper). I am liquidating my much of my collection to buy another vehicle or else I would keep it. This is a darn solid split camper (floors, frame, battery tray & opposite tray) for the money; it is also clean because of the fact that it was painted and then stored indoors. Former owner died so progress was stalled. No reason to beleive it is a bad engine as the bus was almost ready to put on the road. The nose was bumped while in storage. Some people put a deflsted football against the nose skin in front of the bus, inflate, take the dent out and that's it. Exterior Interior Engine Download the eBay Motors app
