This Antique & Collectable Shelby Cobra replica was built in 2007 by it's original owner Craig Thomson who is a retired US Navy ship builder at Newport News VA ship yard. This particular Cobra was his number 9 built and he successfully sold all of them on to other collectors like myself. This monster is powered by a custom Windsor 351 (375 HP) V8 mated to a five-speed Borg-Warner T-5 manual gearbox. Car is finished in Yellow gelcoat paint with black stripes and features side pipes, staggered Halibrand replica wheels, Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor 750 CFM, Summitt vacuum booster and power front & rear disc brakes, independent front suspension, 9" Ford positraction rear end with 4 link all on coil over shocks. Has leather racing seats with combination black suede leather and gray carpet interior. Maintenance carried out in 2020 included a tune up, new spark plugs & wires, new distributor cap, new fuel filter, fresh oil & filter, new side pipes with new headers, new carburetor and more. This roadster has 5,500 original miles and is offered in California with a clean California State title listing it as a 2020 Special Shelby. This has legal certified smog exempt California registration which means you will never ever need to smog this roadster. It was a very time consuming and tedious registration process which the next CA owner does not have to worry about. The cockpit features vintage racing-style bucket seats with four-point Simpson harnesses as well as a wood-rimmed steering wheel and a glovebox. The suede-wrapped dashboard houses VDO gauges for water temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, RPM, Speedometer, analog clock & battery voltage. I have all documentation from the original owner from day one and build sheet and all that. Also comes with various spare / extra parts as you can see in photos. It has custom made convertible top with side curtains/windows and a tonneau cover. Car runs and drives perfectly without overheating and I'll feel comfortable driving this roadster everywhere any time.
