| Here is the Holy Grail of impala convertibles... a 1958 Chevy impala convertible owned by same owner since 1967... This car was a show car in late 70’s. It was taken to a body shop in the 80’s where it has been ever since... Original colors were Rio red with red/black interior. The car is very solid for a 58 impala. Car does have small rust holes in floors( see pics) Drivers front fender cap by headlight also has some minor rust. Car is in very good shape compared to some convertibles projects I have seen for sale lately. The firewall has been smoothed out(cowl tag is pictured). The dash has been modified by gauge cluster. I have taken pics of dash and the underside of dash. The floors are not that bad. Yes they have minor rust holes but I have seen cars that didn’t have any metal left in the floors. The windshield surround is nice amd rust free(the original stainless trim is also there) the doors are very nice. The lower seams are perfect and rust free. The quarters on the car are very solid. The car does have the convertible top rack assembly with cylinders and pump. The trunk/inner wheel wells are also very nice for age. Trunk pan does have minor small rust holes (see pics) . The car has not had any patch panels in floors or body that I see. Empty slate to do build what you want.The frame is very nice. The car was media blasted and has a light coat of epoxy primer to keep it from flash rusting. Car has back seat NO front seat, No front bumper, no grill these are big items I noticed that aren’t with car.. Does have rechromed 3 piece rear bumper. Car is missing some of the side trim. I have taken all trim and mocked up on car so you can see what is there. This is a great start ... when was the last time you saw a 58 rag top project? Car is as honest as you will find( no body filler hiding anything, bottom is still bare metal....) what you see in pics is what you are buying... no surprises. Car comes with a trunk full of parts (extra hood, bumper braces, window regulators, heater box, stock cluster, top latches, visors, trim, brackets(see pics of parts) Clear up to date title.
