Restored by Palm Beach Cruisers, this 1977 FJ43 Toyota Land Cruiser restomod underwent a complete nut and bolt frame-off restoration. More than 1,000 hours went into restoring this FJ43 back to its original glory. The body was removed from the chassis and inspected for imperfections. All parts were either reconditioned or replaced with OEM Toyota parts. The undercarriage was coated with raptor liner, giving it an extra protective barrier. The body was repainted with the original factory Mustard Yellow (532) paint.The manual steering was upgraded to power steering using OEM components in order to provide a better driving experience. The original 2F 4.2L in-line 6 cylinder engine was remanufactured to the original blueprints and exact specifications. The original 4-speed transmission was replaced with an OEM H55F 5-speed transmission for a smoother ride. The drum brakes were replaced with OEM disk brakes for better and more consistent performance. The chassis and drivetrain were sandblasted and powder coated to better protect and preserve the metal. The suspension was upgraded using a Pro COMP 2 lift kit system. 17 steel wheels and 33 inch Mickey Thompson tires were added for a more aggressive look. This example is in perfect condition being stored in a climate controlled show room.
