About The Plymouth Road Runner: Named for the popular Warner Brothers cartoon character, the Road Runner was manufactured with no frills and few amenities in order to save cost and weight on top of the Belvedere platform. Details About Our Road Runner For Sale: This nicely restored 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner Hardtop was recently refinished in Buffed Silver Metallic over a standard Black Vinyl bench seat interior during a restoration completed in approximately 2015. In proper fashion, all necessary components were removed including all glass to perform a professional base coat/ clear coat finish to the exterior. A new trunk floor and full passenger side rear quarter panel would be fitted in the process. All new window seals and soft body weather stripping were installed upon completion, along with new fuel tank, lines, all suspension components, engine & transmission mounts, driveshaft u-joints, and a upgraded 4-wheel disc brake system to bring this beast to a halt on command! The drivetrain was replaced, utilizing a fully rebuilt 1967 date-coded High Performance 426ci Hemi 2x4-bbl V8 in place of its original 383ci-4 barrel V8. The rear axle was swapped for a Hemi correct Dana 60 by Strange Axles and fitted with 3.54:1 Sure Grip gearing!
