1956 Ford Town SedanI will be listing a few cars here in the next week or two for my family. We are reducing are number of cars, so please see my other listings as well. I am not a dealer."The NEW '56 Ford...with new and exclusive new LIFEGUARD DESIGN!"The 1956 Ford was not only built to be beautiful and perform well, but Ford was also heavily promoting their safety features that year. The "Double Grip Door Latches" to prevent doors opening in the event of a crash and the "Deep Dish Safety Design Steering Wheel" are examples of these Lifeguard Designs. The 1955-1956 Fords are now regarded as one of the most beautiful and collectible cars of the 1950s! Here we have a beautiful Fairlane Town Sedan with very rare options that has been well loved by its past owners and was restored a few years back. With as many options as this car has, I would think this might have been a special demonstrator or display model. Beautiful condition inside and out. Looks like almost like a new one from just a short distance. This would be a very nice car for all your cruise night events, local car shows, or just own/drive for fun! This car will be a treasure for your family to own for years to come and a great investment too!Details/Features:The original 312 Y-Block V8 starts and runs well. The transmission shifts and operates well at all speeds. With the PS and PB, this would be an easy classic car for anyone to drive and handle. All working gauges and lights. Doors open and close nicely with a thud. Although this car did originally come equipped with A/C, it is not functional at this time. If you would like A/C added, it can be done for the next owner (please feel free to contact me for details). The car looks great inside and out! The exterior paint is older, but is still very shiny and attractive. All chrome and stainless is either very good original or has been re-chromed in the past. The interior is also quite nice. Engine bay and trunk are both very clean and tidy. The doors, hood, trunk all open and close with ease and all body panels line up nicely. There are a couple of very minor flaws here and there, but the car presents itself VERY well. It's hard to find anything on this car that looks 64 years old! Overall, the car is nice enough to win a trophy at some of the informal car shows you attend. Please see the photos and ask whatever questions you might have. I do have a video of the car running and also a driving video I can send by request.I reserve the right to end the listing early at any time for the right offer. The car could be for sale locally as well. I welcome personal inspections from potential buyers. Shown by appointment.I can help ship this car to your door at a reduced rate via enclosed transport. If you are a long distance or overseas, I will try to work with you on the shipping.
