Resurfaced head, head gasket, Hoosiers, brake and trans service. No recent safety updates— it will need to be gone through before being raced or used on track. Car has been a photo-opp piece in our showroom for the last couple years. We do not have a logbook documenting this car's official entries, but have been in touch with the son of the gentleman who raced it in the mid 70s, and he has provided some excellent insight into the history of this car. Purchased new by a gentleman named Tom Crisp of Racine, Wisconsin. He raced it for one season then sold to his friend Dick Ellingson, who raced it in Formula Ford in 1973 and 1974. He then moved up to Formula Atlantic, where he won two championships. The car underwent a few changes during Dick’s ownership in the mid 1970s, seeing a color change from its factory yellow to black, then back to yellow. Interestingly enough, the car was painted by Herm Johnson, who, in addition to twice racing the Indy 500, ran a custom painting business who did work for several Indy 500 winners. The car now wears a non-original nose, having had the “C” upgrade to a more downforce-friendly nose. The last time the car is figured to have seen legitimate hard track action was around 1980, and it was relegated to extended storage following that. Car will come with a few period photos, showing it in both black and yellow liveries. 1600cc Kent, Tall Block, Big Caps (#711M6015BA). Chassis AM7247. Frame rail tag 72650. In many cases there is a delay in receiving the original instruments up to 21 days from the time we pay a vehicle off. While we usually have all titles in our possession at closing, there are occasions where we may be waiting for them to arrive. If payment is made by cashier's or personal checks we will hold all titles for 10 days or until funds have cleared. Shipping & Delivery: All shipping charges are buyer's responsibility. At time of sending initial deposit, Buyer MUST fax copy of their State issued valid Driver License. Furthermore, before said vehicle is released for shipment to Buyer, all other Sale related and title related paperwork must be signed and returned complete to Seller.
