CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
Selling my 1977 Trans Am. Bought a new corvette and need some room. I had this car for 5 years. The car is very clean. This is a solid car. The dash pad is not cracked, the doors do no sag when you open them. The AC blows cold. The clock does not work. All dashboard controls work. The transmission works fine. I put around 4,000 miles on the car a year. The car does not overheat in the summer with the AC. I live in PA.Here is a recent problem that just occurred. Cylinder 4/6 have a small misfire. I diagnosed it as a bad head gasket. There is no smoke, no antifreeze leak and no oil burn and the middle cylinders have the exhaust valve next to each other. I am only home on the weekends and not in the mood to tear it down. But I will if needed. I think it's a new head gasket. A rebuilt engine in Jegs is $2,100. So I am going to list at a price I think is fair now. The car runs, I can drive it, but will not due to misfire.95% of the car is all original.I am the 3rd owner, I have the window sticker and a log book from 1980 with everything that was done to the car.It was repainted 14 years ago.I added the bird and stripes, new rims and tires 4 years ago. I replaced the HEI, kept the old one. The car has cquartz applied to give it that shine, plus I don't have to wax it. I lowered the front end and replaced the tie rod bushing. You can drive down the highway as fast as you want, completely smooth, no vibrations, let go of the wheel, perfectly straight. It has disc brakes in the front, when you apply them the car does not pull in either direction. Feel free to reach out to me for any questions or more pictures. Here is a video with the engine running
