| 1957 FORD FAIRLANE 500 2 DR HARDTOPVery solid-straight-rust free car! This car was built in California and spent its life there until 2002. The owner took it home to IA and it was completely restored. 312 C.I. "Thunderbird Special" V8 The engine was completely overhauled and bored 0.60. The engine has been driven 25000 miles since the overhaul. It runs strong and smooth! Ford-a-matic Options: Power steering, power brakes (which have been updated to a new style chrome brake booster and also updated new dual reservoir master cylinder). Electric Windshield wipersTown-n-country radio and also has an am/fm cd player w/ front hump speaker console. Recent Updates include: New rear fender dual antennas and new Ford crest front fender dual mirrors. Repro Ford Continental Kit with stainless band and air brush cover plate of 57' Ford by Betty Boop's Diner (see pics) Factory air cleaner has been restored and repainted with basecoat/clearcoat and the new "Thunderbird Special" Decals were installed.Also a new Custom-Cooler radiator is installed with a polished overflow tank. Both front and rear bumpers have been re-chromed. Ford chrome wire wheels w/Ford crest 3-bar spinners. Also included are the original set of 4 black rims and full size 57' Ford hubcaps. Tires are wide white wall radials with an estimated 60% tread remaining. The cylinder heads have been planed with new head gaskets, new valve springs, as well as all new intake valves and seals. Also the intake manifold was planed and the intake gaskets were replaced. ALL THE MAINTENANCE ON THIS CAR HAS BEEN METICULOUS HERE ARE JUST A FEW THINGS REPLACED RECENTLY: ALL ITEMS INSTALLED ARE NEW PARTS! Heater hoses, water shut-off valve, distributor cap, pointless ignition, neutral safety switch, reverse lamp switch, gas sending unit, and all the belts have been replaced. Also this car has a very cool story attached to it! On March 26th, 2010 this car was invited to The World of Wheels indoor car show. There at the show was Henry Winkler aka THE FONZ! from HAPPY DAYS! He was told to walk around and pick his favorite car at the show. Well he chose this car! So he signed the dash and took a picture with the car! I still have the original picture of the fonz in this car and i'll be sending that with the next owner as well! NOT LOOKING FOR A TRADE!!! ALREADY HAVE THE NEXT PROJECT IN MIND!!!!
