CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER | |

This is a vehicle from an other era so I suggest you read carefully- Offering my 65 Kaiser Willys CJ5. 4 cylinder Hurricane engine and optional 4 speed T98 transmission. Dana 18 transfer case. All original. Ive replaced all bearings, seals on the axles. Recent single stage paint. It drives and handles more like a farm tractor than any modern vehicle. Extremely fun to drive, but you wont be going faster than 45-50 MPH. Have been driving and working on it on and off for 15 years. Sold it at one point and purchased it back five years later. Very unique jeep and always a big attraction at car shows. Body is solid with exception to a 3x3 inch rust patch on driver side rocker- repaired and painted. No longer visible. SUSTAINED RPM limit for the F134 engine is 3000 RPM. NO AC, NO POWER STERING, NO POWER BRAKES, NO CRUISE CONTROL, NO CARPET The Bad-Rearmost exhaust manifold stud has antifreeze leak as four of the studs end in the water jacket. Found threads to be damaged when I replaced the exhaust. Tried drilling out and re-tapping but still seems to leak. Engine smokes a bit, but has been sitting for years. May need to run for it to clear up as it didn't used to smoke. Been plugging everything back in from sitting. Have most of the wires where they need to go, theyre just a mess and am working to organize and put them in protective sleeves. Had a new oil line made up that runs from block to head- but fittings leak oil. Found a factory replacement online- and its on the way. The good- Always shifted well a well as into and out of four wheel drive. Too many new parts to list so I'll only list the major stuff-New Mile-marker lockout hubs New Clutch/ pressure plate New brake master cylinder (about 1000 miles on shoes and pads) New solex carburetor New complete Exhaust New Radiator New Seat upholstery New Windshield Frame, Glass and wipers New Water Pump New Fuel Tank New Fuel Pump New Starter New Speedo and cable New Advance Adapters windshield braces New Solid State Distributor and cables (no points or condensers to worry about) New Head Seal oil pan gasket, valve cover gaskets New Bosch temp and oil gauges New Steel reproduction passenger fender New Steering Draglink I can keep going but if you have questions just ask. Have had it apart for a few years. Just getting wiring all plugged back in and organized. Posting with intent to sell and will let go for right price. Otherwise I'll complete and continue to drive. |
