2 owner CA/AZ car with all original body & engine. My father & I have cared for this vehicle since buying from dealer who acquired it from original owner in CA. The Dealer was RPM Motors in Scottsdale, AZ. At that time, 1990, it had just 33K original miles... and was quickly put into a safe barn storage, to save for retirement...Original transmission was swapped with a rebuilt due to seal/leaking issues, yet the original transmission housing was kept, to be original if you wanted to go thru that transmission later on. In 2001, my father began to use this vehicle during our Sweet Chariots Classic Car Radio show & continued to drive it, summers only, up to about 2015, bringing miles to about the 97K range as his health was slowly fading away. It now has around 98K miles. engine Oil was Mobil 1 and Slick 50 Treated. He has since passed on & I have decided to let this go on to be enjoyed by another collector car enthusiast who appreciates the value & ride only these Last Year American Built Caprice Classic Convertibles can deliver. The Original top was changed by Tom's Tops in Laconia NH. At one time, after the new top was installed, the scissors frame was a bit bound when it was lowered & the new top got slightly damaged, so a small patch was installed. The carpets are brand new & the 2 front seat covers have been recovered with original color & Grain material. Door panel bases are being re-dyed & a dashboard cap is been installed & dyed to match. When in storage, a while back, something came in contact with driver's rear 1/4 and put a ding in the panel. Last year, I began to fix & paint before putting into storage, but the paint match isn't quite right... That can easily be addressed... see pictures. The rock solid frame is 3/4 cleaned & painted satin black and the engine compartment is being detailed. The 1st picture posted is a very close example of the car's overall condition. Right now, as pictures show, I have a few things apart in the interior and the rear bumper is off to strip center filler section and paint new reproduction fiberglass side filler panels. Those will be included with car for you to do. AC Compressor needs a clutch installed. I have a NOS clutch in the box, and a parts compressor too. When you drive it..., it's like riding on a cloud.... It's still very tight in the front end & drives like a very low mile car, as all the miles on it were easy highway miles, going to & from car shows as we covered the Classic Car Show scene & events in New England on our Sweet Chariots Classic Car Radio program. Options include: PS, PB, PW, Tilt wheel, Tinted Glass, A/C, PWR Driver's Seat, PWR Top, Remote Control Driver's Mirror, AM FM Stereo/cassette player. I have Power door lock switches for this too. I haven't located the lock motors yet, but will send them if I find them with wiring harness packed somewhere... The 350- 4bbl V-8 runs very strong with no noises & has never been apart. Carb could use a rebuild kit, which I have. I have listed this because several people are interested in doing the TLC items, so I have reduced the price from a Craigslist Ad at $14,500. Recently a car on eBay similar to this sold for 19K, another had offers up to 18,500 with less options and not as nice a color combo with a reserve of 22K.
