CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
This CJ5 is a well-cared for, rust free 1973 classic comes from Idaho (and previously Eastern Oregon). It has never been abused or heavily modified. The exception would be the replacement of the finicky Carter 1 barrel carburetor with the Motorcraft 2100 2 barrel carburetor - a great improvement. • Winch - manufacturer unknown but works great and built hell-for-stout. Includes cable.• Rear tire carrier with spare tire• Michelin LTX A/T 31X10.50 R15 LT 109R good condition• Tow bar• Auxiliary under seat fuel tank• New BesTop Super Top• Excellent new seat upholstery• Roll bar• Roll bar speakers• JVC KD-X40 Digital Media Receiver with remote and bluetooth• New windshield wipers, water pump, thermostat air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, oil change, spark plugs, points condenser, tuneup, brake master cylinder, radiator hoses, newer battery• 3-speed manual transmisson• Electrical connector for towing a boat or trailer• Electrical connector for the Jeep being towed• Receiver hitch (stinger not included)• Cobra CB radio• Manual choke• Newer paint• Original owner's manual (covers faded and loose)• Jeep 1973 Technical Service Manual• Install manual for Motorcraft 2100 carburetor• Removable rear seat• New rear seal The current owner has owned this for seven years and has enjoyed maintaining it in close to its original time-appropriate configuration. It has not been hot-rodded or abused. 1973 was one of the last years of manufacture before Ralph Nader's "Unsafe at Any Speed" pressured Jeep to lower the center of gravity. After that, everyone bought lift kits to lift them back up. The 258 inline six is a very strong torquey motor. Newer Jeeps have 4 bangers in them and are more like cars. In true Jeep tradition, this model does NOT have power steering, power brakes, or an automatic transmission. Remember when you actually drove a car? I've had lots of fun with this Jeep but I've run out of storage space and hope it finds a worthy home.
