CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
1956 Packard PatricianI will be listing a few cars here in the next week or two for my family. We are reducing are number of cars, so please see my other listings as well. I am not a dealer. This would be the last year that Packard would produce cars in the great Packard factory. They would soon move production to South Bend, IN and the 1957-1958 Packards would be Studebaker bodies ... This car represents the last of the Packard cars produced in the factory, and according to the serial number, this particular car is ONE OF THE LAST EVER to roll off of the assembly line on the last day of production (only 61 cars ahead of the last ever). The car has been loved and cared for all these years. It may have been a dealer display piece for a few years, or owned by a Packard executive, but I don't have any exact history on that. I would love to see this one go to a good Packard home :) Details/Features:The original 374 V8 runs smooth, quiet, and makes great power. The transmission also shifts well at all speeds. Overall, the car runs and drives excellent and is easy to drive. It handles very well and takes little to no effort to steer and stop. The load leveling system can be turned off with a factory switch under the dash, however, it still works as designed with a 7 second delay on leveling. All factory gauges are working. The clock and radio appear to be non-op at the moment. All power windows are working with the exception of the drivers rear currently. Power seat works great. Power antenna works. Windshield wipers are also operational ... The car drives as smooth as anything else on the road! Very quiet. No squeaks or rattles. Drives like a low mileage car should! No issues to report other than what has been mentioned. Just serviced and checked. Overall, it is ready to drive and enjoy right now. This is just a great survivor car with original paint. If you come and see this car in person you'll want to look at it everywhere over and over again. It's like a museum from 1956. Even smells great! So much to look at and just amazingly preserved! Paint, chrome and stainless is all VERY nice considering this is an **all original** car. All of the glass is in good condition, doors, hood, trunk, all open and close with a nice "thud". The original upholstery is all very nice! Still has clear plastic covers over the seats from back in that period. This one is nice enough for any collector or museum. You'll be proud to have this in your collection. Please see the photos and ask whatever questions you might have.I reserve the right to end the listing early at any time for the right offer. The car could be for sale locally as well. Come and get this before someone else does!I welcome personal inspections from potential buyers. Shown by appointment.Drive home or I can help ship this car to your door at a reduced rate via enclosed transport. If you are a long distance or overseas, I will try to work with you on the shipping.
