Paste link into a browser window: [isdntekvideo] 1955 Ford Thunderbird repainted and restored in its original factory colors of Ford Thunderbird Blue and a white top (top is from a 1957 non-port hole item). Interior was redone in the original color’s turquoise and white. Estimated time of restoration is mid 2000’s and approximate mileage since then is estimated at 10,000. The 6-volt electrical system was changed over to 12-volt around 2012. Power interior options include seat and windows which function normally and a telescopic steering column. All of the gauges work including the clock and tachometer. the temperature reads backwards, and the radio does not work, but the power antenna goes up without any issues. The original 292 Thunderbird V-8 was rebuilt at the time of the restoration and runs great no apparent leaks and does not overheat. New carburetor was added in 2013, power steering and brakes work fine. Factory 3-speed manual transmission shifts solid. The suspension was redone at the same time as the restoration and the car rides smoothly. New front-end bushings, tie rod ends, and complete brake system was added. New fuel lines and gas tank. New radial wide white wall tires were purchased in the past month. The paint and bodywork are showing their age and a small ‘crease’ is on the right front fender (see photo). It is a good 10-footer.
