1961 MGA Roadster. What I have is a very nice example of an MGA. Not a nut and bolt restore but a body off refurb of a solid example. I've done nearly all the work on the car. The engine is an early 3 main MGB engine. Rebuilt with nearly everything new or rebuilt on it. It was a standard bore and remains that way. New rings, bearings, oil pump, head redone and so on. New radiator, all hyd. new or rebuilt. Rebuilt carbs, distributor. New clutch kit was installed. The transmission and diff are original and sound. The engine runs and sounds super. The body was stripped of all paint. The inner and outer rockers have been replaced. They weren't bad but I replaced instead of repairing. New paint using base clear system. The paint imo is a strong 7.5 or better. There are a couple of small imperfections but nothing noticeable. New interior with leather seat covers and cockpit rails. There is a small place on the back side of the passenger seat. I included a picture. Upgraded woolen carpet from SF. New top from SF. It was just installed. The wheels have been powder coated and look good. I added my touch to the car with the 48 Ford tail lights and no bumper look. I feel it makes the car look a little cleaner than it already did. I'm sure I've forgotten something so if any questions please email me for answers. I've started the cars price at a below market value so bid away. Please serious bidders only. I have a perfect feedback record and intend on keeping it that way. |
