1969 charger 500 Dealer DemoThis is a rare charger 500. Out of the 500 that they were suppose to build to compete Dodge only ended up building around 392 before they switched gears to the Daytona that added the legendary wing and nose cone that helped them dominate the speedway. If you don't know about these cars and their rarity please look them up before considering a bid. This particular car is a time capsule with 91658k original miles and has been off the road since 1979. It is a 100 percent original paint, interior and numbers matching 440 auto car. This car also a rare Y13 Dealer Demo code. This car spent some time on the showroom floor showing off some unique options. This car is equipped with the W18 Simulated Mag Type Wheel Covers, R22 AM 8 track 3 speaker dash, column shift with fold down arm rest and Air conditioning. Then finished off in F5 green exterior and F8 interior. Back in 1969 green was a more popular color then some people feel it is today. For me most of the cars I have owned and look for are green of some shade so I am a big fan of this car. I found this car in Montana where I purchased it from the second owners.I got to meet the original owners. I brought it back to Vancouver wa and put it in my barn with all kinds of plans. I intended to work on it that winter and that turned into it sitting in my barn for a few years. I pulled it out of the barn and again planed on just getting the major systems up and running. I pulled the engine to reseal everything and replaced the freeze plugs and dropped it back in. I opted not to clean anything up to keep it as original to found condition as possible. Then it sat again in my garage for a few more years. Note I did do all of this without removing the hood so no body panels have been taken apart on this car. With that said the car is still not running at this time but I am working on it. I pulled the gas tank to check and it is perfect rust free inside so I am going to re-installed the original tank. When I hook a battery up everything inside works as well as all exterior lights, wipers and heater fan. All A/C parts are there but the system would need a refresh to function. The body is basically rust free and straight. But it does have 50 years of dings and scratches as well as I would call a small dent on the drivers side rear lower quarter below the 500 stripe. It also has some rust scale on the front valance, bottom of drivers door and around the dent on left side due to road rash from gravel roads. The underside has lots of Montana dirt and sand still stuck to the bottom of the car. I pulled the seats and carpet out to retrieve the factory build sheet and the floors are mint. Everything has been reinstalled. The rarity of this car besides being a first generation Aero car (1 of 392) with all of the unique features. The flush back window, A-pillar wind deflectors that continued on to the Daytona and a flush grill for wind deflection that was replaced with a nose cone on the Daytona's. Also this car was only a few that would have been tagged as a dealer Demo and for sure this is one of only a few that have all original paint, power train and low miles. I have the Original build sheet and window sticker but replacement fender tag. All numbers match Engine, Transmission and both body numbers match. And yes it did have a bug deflector on it most of it's life.
